Meet the kids from Fame!!! My first visit to rehearsalsWell here are the guys hard at it as they have been every Saturday for the last few weeks, these are a few pictures taken by one of the production team just to give us a taste of the hard work that goes into putting a show like this together,and i have been told that they are starting to gel alreadyAs i mentioned in the intro on the home page during the coming weeks their will be new material added and we hope to get video interviews with some of the cast and the production team, so keep checking back to see what's going on.
Last summer Rob invited some of the Kid's from the auditions to come down to the AUDITORI DE LA MEDITERRÀNIA to sing with the choir it was a really
great night in front of a packed house and they all got really into it,and
watching it now it gets you really excited in anticipation for the real thing in January.so don't forget to get those ticketsa.s.a.p. because you wouldn't want to be disappointed 28-29-30-31st BE THEIR !!!
Hi Everybody (as doctor Munroe from the Simpson's would say) I spent Saturday with the the dancers,and it was just great watching them as they were put through their paces by the dancing guru Pascalle,I cannot describe the grace,the sharpness,as they were gliding across the room,and that was just Joe and the boys!!! it was like watching three men dancing in cement Lol.....only joking boys.seriously i really enjoyed it,i don't know how they remember all the moves. but still the sound of "QUITE" was the most used term of the day (read the notice on "write on the wall" page) i know its difficult,but try to help the production team help YOU, anyway enough ramblings. If any of the cast hasn't been interviewed yet could you let me know (come on its a laugh)and to those i interviewed and you haven't seen it on here yet its probably cos i made a mess of it and we will have to redo it again(sorry),also might even get to do the production team next week.....Joanne is sick of doing her hair every week!!!! THE ROCK CHICKS OF FAME!!! This week i would like to give a special mention to two girls that i can only describe as the rock chicks of bally,so don't forget to watch out for them in the show,they both move with such grace and yet such power ,the two girls (Saray Corvo Queseda and Bonny Saskia Kyper) are very exciting and hypnotic to watch,top class job girls !!!  Opposite are a few clips of some of the actors doing their thing, as i said in the red paragraph on the right above its harder to show some of their skills as due to the limit per video on you tube i wouldn't get much on, so Ive knocked together a collage featuring some of them rehearsing parts,as i said before great performance by Joe,but i love the line by Doris "happy birthday to three year olds" its so well delivered and believable and i do know a little about it having appeared at the BAFTA awards and Mtv at the movies to name but a couple (well if i don't blow the trumpet who will) even if it was in 1993!!!! It also features the fame juniors they did brilliant under Joannes guidance and i must say when she was talking they were very attentive and QUITE!!! sorry guys just a quick dig.Lol and i have to draw attention to Bruno and his Dad they seem to have a good rapport as they act their was though the scene.well that's it from me this week,ill be waffling on again round about this time next week so thanks to all of you that provide us with so much enjoyment every weekend. THE FAME RESERVATION HOT LINE IS OPEN TEL. 661183017 Break a leg So down to the business end of things this week,as showtime grows ever closer you can feel the tension in the air as this week i spent mostly with Karen,Joanne and the actors as they worked through the scripts entrances and exits,their were a few people absent and also with the loss of Matt (Leroy) returning to England its a lot of pressure on the production team to rehearse a new Michael (Michael is taking on Leroy's role) in less than half the time we have had so far.But the show must go on and go on it did,with the crew that was attending giving it their all, I must commend Joe,Oliver, Levi and Helga as usual, but to be fair most of the dialog was all involving them and don't worry Levi I know what a hobo is....And the junior fame Kids were enthusiastic through out the time i spent with them,they oozed energy and keenness under the guidance of Karen,above are some clips of them and a chance for a couple of them to say hello so check it out!!!For all the tap dance troupe if you go to the page "learn with Pascalle" Its showing your tap piece,if you want to practice at home.And finally a quick mention to Sibylle as she is doing a grand job selling tickets every Saturday,and i have to say a natural on camera !!! Last Saturday I was down at the rehearsals watching what was going on and boy was it ALL going on, the dancing, the acting, and the singing!!! The sound of QUITE!!! Was echoing everywhere,it was a really long day as rehearsals started at 1 O'clock for some people, but the day was met with lots of hard work and effort by all. Below is some some of the the day on video, and a few words of introduction from some of the cast members and from some it was a just a "few" (Joe and Oliver) but I’m sure as the weeks go on everyone will be used to the camera pointing at them and will be able to chatter endlessly (just like Nelly and Kia) There were a few people absent this week Joanne and Karen was telling me through illness, we hope they get well soon and can rejoin the crew for another hard session of dancing and singing........ Also I was talking to the production team (you will able to meet them on here next week, along with more of the cast) about shooting a music video for the song FAME which seemed to get a great buzz from the kids I spoke to this week. What's up....the weekend has come and gone again,and Saturdays rehearsals had many different aspects to it,including Joanne's how to enter and exit the stage which i can say from experience is an art in its self,if you have to enter and exit several times it can be confusing I'm sure that's where the saying "he didn't know whether he was coming or going"came from!!!Also a new dance from Pascalle to "out here on my own" which if you didn't get it you can see and practice it with "learn with Pascalle" piece on the new page. As well as the above i spent a little time with Joanne and Mandy as they were going through the script with the juniors and i can say they were cruising though it quite nicely. I must apologize to the actors and actresses of the fame cast as its a bit difficult to put filming of them on the site but be sure on the final Dvd of Fame, it will include lots of clips from the rehearsals and points of interest and of coarse the show in very high quality even high definition if required!!!(even though You Tube says it HD it's not).i do have to a mention Joe this week (and not taking the micky for a change) his rendition of the monologue was faultless,excellent mate and well done.. After rehearsals this week Joanne gave everyone a letter regarding the coming "Benidorms Got Talent" weekend at the Benidorm palace,the final is on Sunday night and the Kids From Fame have the chance to back one of the contestants from the first X-Factor series and fellow Mancunian "Rowetta" at the palace. For those that don't remember the first series of the X-Factor Rowetta played a very big part as one of Simon Cowle's favorite contestants who he described as "barking mad" and was in the show until voted out on about the 8th week,she has also appeared on celebrity big brother and recently Itv's loose women. BENIDORM PALACE Below is some video from last night at Benidorm Palace,it's recorded on a still camera as video so the quality isnt all that, but well done all,for making us all feel proud of you!!!! Well what can i sayin the words of Bill and Ted...."excellent dudes" Sundaynight was a blinder,the right contestant won(although i hate the song hallelujah , in fact i hate the song that came second too "my heart will go on") and you guys were great,you all looked the part too, it shows what a difference the right setting can make,so try to bear that in mind while you are rehearsing every |
